Adoption available for Trooper Joe. This 6 year old Lab mix has one hero, and he’s searching for a few more. A generous donor has paid Trooper Joe’s adoption fee. Now he’s looking for a home of his own to help care for his special medical needs and generous donor heroes to help cover the cost of his surgery.
Trooper Joe suffers from severe hip dysplasia. Right now his pain is being managed with medication, but his future quality of life would be greatly improved with hip replacements. Because of the extensive post-surgery rehabilitation, it would be best for him to recuperate in the comfort of a loving home.
Dog lover friends of mine took him out to a greenway last Saturday and she said, “I took him to the Greenway because he has been in the shelter the longest of any dog. We had a great time and he loves little kids. He rides in the car like a pro. If I didn’t work such long hours and had a fenced yard I’d adopt him in a heartbeat.” Trooper Joe is a 6 year old Lab mix with a happy disposition and soulful eyes that show he has so much more love to give.
